DEPARTMENT OF H&S
This is one of the indispensable departments of MLRIT. This is an inter disciplinary department where subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English & Environmental Sciences etc. are included. The department being an integral and basic part of college focuses on promoting the discovery & application of scientific knowledge in a manner that prepares the students to contribute effectively, intellectually and ethically as citizens of a dynamic scientific community. The department imparts excellent humanities.
The department caters the needs of B.Tech, M.B.A. & M.C.A. with reference to Applied Sciences and Humanities. There is an active role of department in all activities like college administration, Examination, transportation, extra curricular activities etc.
The department of H&S comprising Mathematics, English, Physics etc was established in the year 2005. Faculty with proven teaching and research capabilities from NIT and reputed Institutions are available in the department. Presently the department has 28 faculty members including 4 Ph.D,3 M.Phil,3 M.Tech holders.
The department tries to keep pace with the rapid advancement in technology by providing well equipped labs and by teaching the students the latest in the field. The theory and practicals are taught to them with the idea of.

The Department is enriched with fully furnished PC based communication Lab which emphasizes on improving the communication skills of the students by organizing regular group discussions etc. An interactive spoken Language Lab with modern audio equipment is also available.
As per the new curriculum of JNTU physics and chemistry Labs are established. In physics lab the students are instructed to learn through the experiments in the areas of optics, Heat, Accoustics and Electronics. A separate dark room is available to conduct experiments in spectrometry & LASER. In chemistry Lab the students learn to calculate the percentage of salts present in the given solution of qualitative analysis.

Dr.K.Venkateshwar Reddy
Professor Dr.K.Venkateshwar Reddy is an accomplished administrator.He has done is research work in the area of Mathematics.Prof. Dr.K.V.Reddy has got 16 years of teaching experience. Dr.K.V.Reddy is the coordinator for Industry Institute Interface Program.The college has undergone MOU's with various MNC's under his coordination. Dr.K.V.Reddy is the chairman of the Disciplinary Committee.He actively participates in all extra curricular and cocurricular activities organized in the college.
Dr.Radhika Devi
Dr.Radhika Devi is the HOD of the department. She was awarded "Swarna Jayanthi Puraskar" for the best research paper in 2007by NASI (National Academy of Sciences India). She has 12 international paper publications to her credit.She has 9 years of teaching experience.
