The center coordinates all activities related to research activities under taken by the faculty members. It acts as a conduit and as advisory in securing the project grants, in monitoring the progress, research and development activities. It is instrumental in fostering the institute-industry interaction. The innovation centers provides a window where in the bright and new ideas of the students and staff are brought to the attention of appropriate industrial enterprises and secures funding so that these ideas are turned into products.

The centre arranges the visits and lectures, demonstrations by the distinguished experts from academics, and industrial enterprises on a regular basis.
