E-summit is a 2 day entrepreneurship carnival, is hosted by EDC –MLRIT in association with NucleusTech and SUMVN on August 21st and 22nd aimed at awaiting opportunity to bring remarkable speakers, outstanding entrepreneurs, creative talks , achievers , investors , startup ecosystem players under one shell. The main objective of this event is to make students conscious of what is happening in today’s world and also make them job generators instead of job seekers. By this summit we aim to formulate interest in students to make something new and try to bring out their hidden talent.

EDC organized a two day event in association with KVIC on “Gandhiji’s vision on rural development through rural industries”. As a part of it we have conducted essay writing, debate and seminar on the same topic and prizes were distributed to the winners.

MLRIT EDC students participated in project Expo at JNTU Hyderabad in The Tech fest 2016 on 30,31st July 2016 and selected in top five projects for final presentation. Two projects were selected for expo from MLRIT after shortlisted by Collab house and engineers hub.MLRIT was among 5 colleges from Hyderabad whose projects only selected for expo. EDC students Jay and Bhavya (CSE IIIrd year) pitched their start-up Business Plan at BYST-CII mentoring session on 8th September 2016.Their starup selected for mentoring and will be mentored by Radhika Meenaxi Shankar who is a Strategy member of BYST.

EDC students P Sai Krishna (ECE 3rd) and Sesha Sai Pavan (Mech 3rd) participated in E leader workshop at Vasavi College organized by NEN (National Entrepreneurship network on 4th and 5th October 2016.The workshop was meant to run successful E-Cell at institute level by students. EDC signed a MOU with BYST (Bhartiya Yuva Shakti Trust) on 6th October for students projects mentoring, funding and conducting program of BYST-CII at MLRIT campus.

Task workshop:
Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge has organized an FDP on “Building Teacher Effectiveness” on 21st &22nd of Oct, 2016 at Hyderabad. Dr Radika Devi HOD H&S Dept and Mrs M Mallika Reddy from MBA attended the workshop.

T-hub: IBM Smart Camp for HealthTech 2016 a startup event for health products and services was organized by IBM at T-HUB, Gachibowli on 21st of Oct, 2016.

NASA App Challenge
NASA App Challenge was conducted on23/04/2016 where MLRIT was organizing partner with Toe Up and other companies. This is world’s largest annual hackathon .It is NASA’s open innovation initiative. Where space app challenges are given to give solutions. The best ideas are chosen for local and global nomination for further idea development and incubation. MLRIT was the venue for hackathon where technical sessions were conducted to develop ideas for final submissions. MLRIT was the only venue with IARE and Methodist College in Hyderabad. The challenge was conducted in 140 locations all over the world on same day.

MLRIT & NEN organizing a 5Day Faculty development Program on “Entrepreneurship Educator Programme –WF100 & WF101” from 20th to 24th June 2017 by Dr. Radhika Menakshi Shankar for various colleges from Telangana.

EDC organized a three day ideation programme “Entrepreneur Base Camp “in collaboration with Global Business Incubators, Khadi and Village Industries commission (Govt of India), Amazon Web Services from 23rd March to 25th March 2017. The primary aim of the base camp is Idea Pitching, Mentoring by industry experts, MOU’s with GBI for the Best Ideas. 4 ideas each of worth 2 lakhs had MOU with GBI.

EDC students Jay and Bhavya (CSE IIIrd year) participated at Start-Up cricket league on 18th Sepetember 2016 with their Start-Up Spot!t. There Start-up is selected among best 10 Start-up ‘s in start up cricket league organized at Jaipur ,New Delhi, Bengluru and Hyderabad. The team is also selected for Internships. EDC Launched certification program (orientation on Entrepreneurship WFN100) on 16th September 2016.The certification program is launched for B-tech and MBA students to increase awareness on Entrepreneurship and increase their skills to make them industry fit.

Panel discussion on:
Dr Yogita and Mrs. M Mallika Reddy were part of the panel discussion held by NEN( Wadhwani Foundation), at Siva Shivani Institute of Management, Hyderabad on October 18th ,2016.The discussion was part of the e-leadership Workshop conducted by NEN to develop entrepreneurial skills in students.

Floating Garden design competition
MLRIT students and faculty developed a Floating Garden of following specifications.Size of the garden: 10 meters * 20 meters. It is able to absorb heavy metals from the water.

National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) certification program on Technical Entrepreneurship
EDC launched certification program on Entrepreneurship orientation in association with National Entrepreneurship Network on 16th September 2016.This is certification program with six modules certificates will be given to students after completion of every module. This is a program which is started from 2nd year onwards to increase awareness about entrepreneurship in the Institute.
